To create a homily, one has to choose between being a miner or an alchemist.
To search for gold or to create gold.
No one has yet created gold.
So it is when it comes to a good homily.
One can only mine a golden homily.
It’s already there.
I just have to continue digging, patiently, relentlessly,
Until I find that pearl of great price.
Then sell everything I have in exchange for that.
For in the end, I find not just the gold.
But the maker Himself…
